Crystals are the life-line between the transmitter and receiver. Always use the
original manufacturer’s crystals in your radio system. Do not be tempted to
save a few pounds by fitting ‘after-market’ crystals that may not have the same
specification as the genuine article. Remember that most problems do not
show up on the bench, only when the model is airborne, and by that time it’s
too late!
Crystal Sizes
Futaba are progressively changing the size of their crystals to a smaller 2/3 size
version. These new 2/3 Xtals have the same accurate, high specification as the
larger size and will therefore suit all Futaba Transmitters and Receivers.
